So i have a childlike pride for my work sometimes...and I am absolutely in love with my latest classwork. Second time using soft pastels and it's so colorful!!

The sick lion

Here are just some sketches of my thinking process. The inspiration is Monty Python and the holy grail bunny scene since it is essentially the same story.

So I started with the background and the sunset which I really like. Everything else is just blocked in with local colors, I still plan on tweaking everything to play with the color scheme. I still need to add another light source I think, since it wouldn't make any sense for the workers to be working without any light.
